2020 Top Price Stallion

Lot 564 BRANCHVALE METAL ALLOY Emdee Enterprises

Koobah Performance Horses was the purchaser of this year’s top seller Branchvale Metal Alloy – a stallion by Metallic Cat out of Reys Little Hottie – on account of Emdee Enterprisers, who sold for an incredible $126,000 on day four of the Sale.

Lot 106 METALLIC STORM on account of Jim & Lynda MacCallum, sold to Metallic Storm Syndicate.

METALLIC STORM on account of Jim & Lynda MacCallum was passed in during the sale at $75,000 but later sold to Metallic Storm Syndicate for $100,000.

2yo YAVEN SMOOTH SPIN $230,000 on account of John & Jenn Corbett. Sold to Steve & Toni Hart.

There was good demand for female lines again this year, with a range of quality mares and fillies bringing an average of $16,853. John & Jenn Corbett’s Lot 262 “Yaven Smooth Spin” was the star of the show, setting a new Australian Performance Horse record when she sold for $230,000 to Steve & Toni Hart on Friday. The 2yo Smooth As A Cat x One Moore Romance (Conman x One Moore Spin) filly is the second sale topper for the “dream team” of John & Jenn.

Lot 334 PV GRASSHOPPER on account of The Beale Trust. Purchased by Tori Acton.

The gelding market was red hot again, grossing more than $2.14 million and averaging over $11,000! Top priced gelding was Lot 334, “PV Grasshopper” on account of The Beale Trust and presented by Todd Graham. The fully trained 4yo Ima Smooth Blue Cat x Just One Moore gelding sold for $30,000 to Tori Acton from Rockhampton, QLD.

Lot 415 WESTLAKE CONFEDERER on account of Peter and Jessica Turich. Sold to CM Pastoral.

Stallions averaged $20,538, topped by Lot 415 “Westlake Confederer” on account of Peter & Jessica Turich. The exciting 2 year old Conman x Kneipps Linda colt was beautifully presented, selling for $86,000 to CM Pastoral of Moama, NSW.

Lot 499 BULLA FARRAH, on account of Mark & Shelley Ruff. Purchased by Evan & Kim Acton for $89,000.

Females were in demand yet again this year, with a range of quality mares and fillies bringing an average of $16,966. Mark & Shelley Ruff of Bulla-Lyn ASH Stud offered Lot 499 “Bulla Farrah”, who was presented by Peter O’Neill. The 4 year old mare by Dual Rey was the first progeny of Bulla Flurry to be offered for sale and was purchased by Evan & Kim Acton for $89,000.

Lot 283 YAVEN SPINACAT, on account of John & Jenn Corbett. Purchased by Hughes Pastoral for $130,000.

Stallions had another strong sale with an average of $26,815, topped by Lot 283 “Yaven Spinacat” on account of John & Jenn Corbett and presented by Rob Leach. The nicely started 2 year old Metallic Cat x One Moore Romance colt fetched $130,000 and was purchased by Hughes Pastoral.

Lot 39 DESTINYS MIRAGE, on account of Wayne & Janine Carney. Purchased by Trewilga Partnership for $60,000.

Geldings were popular this year and brought an average of $10,485 – a rise of over 6% from last year. Thursday morning saw Lot 39 “Destinys Mirage”, an 8 year old Acres Destiny x Mariak Oak gelding on account of Wayne & Janine Carney, fetch an amazing $60,000.

Campaigned and presented by Hugh Miles, the Novice gelding was purchased by the Trewilga Partnership and set a new gelding record (previously set at $50,000 at the 2017 Sale).
