Masters Winner 2021

Nutrien Classic Update And Announcement Of New Graduates Campdraft For 2023!

Firstly on behalf of the entire team, we would like to thank all of those valued clients that took the time to fill out our online survey.

We received some very valuable feedback which we will continue to listen and act upon moving forward. As a result of the survey, the decision has been made to make a couple of fundamental changes to our program.

The feedback regarding the Martins Stock Haulage Open Campdraft is that it is to remain exactly the same; to stay with the 2 run limit for both stables and riders. It’s great to hear that it is one of the fairest Open Campdrafting competitions on the calendar each year.

Another result of the feedback, the Masters Campdraft for Open Aged horses will change in 2023, with the 2022 Masters competition to be the last of its kind. In 2023 the Masters Campdraft will be replaced with a Nutrien Graduates Campdraft. This will be open to horses purchased out of any Tamworth Classic, Toowoomba Supreme, and Willinga Park sales.

In order to be eligible for the Graduates Campdraft, you must have bought or sold in the previous year at the Classic to be able to enter a horse in the subsequent year. This Campdraft allows each stable to be able to pick their two best Nutrien Graduates for the competition with no rider restriction.

We believe that this new Graduate Sale Campdraft concept will not only offer a fantastic showcase of some of the great horses that have been sold through the Nutrien sales, but also offers ongoing value to the quality horses that have completed their Classic years.

To help add back to the start of this competition, we will be increasing commission to 8% with the additional 1% to be split evenly between the current Classic Campdraft and the new 2023 Graduates Campdraft. Based on the 2021 result, this would put approximately $50,000 additional prize money as a start for each of the drafts.

We had an overwhelming amount of support to continue our third round of the Stallion Shootout as an indoor cutout, which is an awesome spectacle and showcase for some of the great leading stallions in the country. We will look forward to presenting it in its normal form subject to Covid restrictions.
Entries will open for the 2022 Classic on Monday the 30th of August 2021 for one week.

As always, if we can be of any help, please do not hesitate to contact any one of the Nutrien team.
