The Landmark Classic final consisted of 27 competitors vying for the richest prize
pool in the country riding horses 5 years and under who had been purchased from
previous Landmark Classic Sales.
Each finalist received a hand crafted leather bridle kindly donated by Angus Barrett
Saddlery, along with bags of feed donated by Omega Feeds and a bottle of wine
from Yabtree Vineyard. Spectators filled the grandstands and it was elbow only room
beside the camp on Wednesday evening 2nd February to view the action of the finals.
Braidwood local Ian Laurie won the Classic Campdraft on Whos Catwoman, taking
home $30,000 in prize money and the Landmark Classic Brady trophy saddle. Ian
purchased this mare at last year’s Classic sale for $16,000 from Bob Johnston of
Loomberah NSW.

2011 Herefords Australia Open Campdraft Winner

The Herefords Australia Open Draft was won by Sam Knight of Gunnedah riding Soda Venus taking home a winners cheque of $10,000 and a sponsored trophy buckle. 2nd was Michael Hiscock riding Hazelwood Advice while equal 3rd/4th/5th was divided between Ben Hall on Common Double, Cal Gibson on Lawsons Lena and Troy Palmer on Flinders.

2011 The Quipolly Equine Stallion Shootout Winner

The Quipolly Equine Stallion Shootout was a hotly contest event this year consisting
of an indoor campdraft, an outdoor campdraft and an indoor cut out the competitors
scores were added together over the 3 rounds and the eventual winner was Mark
Buttsworth from Kingaroy, QLD riding his renown stallion Almora QP Double Doc.
To be eligible to compete in this event the Stallion must be of novice/open status and
have progeny represented in this years sale.
