Tuesday was a big day for Lot 57

Lot 57 in the 2022 Nutrien Yearling Sale is a colt by Bettors Delight from the Troublemaker mare Distant Memory and is being offered by Denis and J Howe.
Delightful Angel, a full-sister to Lot 57 won last night at the Riverina Paceway and lowered her best winning time a full two seconds to 1:53.5 in the process and lifted her career earnings to $37,401 with her fourth win.
A little under four hours later Beach Memories, a Somebeachsomewhere half-sister to Delightful Angel, finished second to Come Say Hi in the $30,000 Group Three Australasian Breeders Crown Silver at Bendigo.
Distant Memory’s first four foals are all winners with her fifth foal due to race as a 2yo in 2022.
She was a very smart 2yo herself winning a heat and the final of the Bathurst Gold Tiara and retired from the racetrack with a record of 1:55.1 and $173,155 in stakes.
Distant Memory is a half-sister to Fuller Vee Em which is the dam of Our Money Rocks p,3,1:50.2 which won its ninth race yesterday afternoon at Menangle to take its earnings past $79,000.
Distant Memory is also a half-sister to Sahara Miss p,2,1:53.8 $132,520.
Sahara Miss is the grand-dam of the Captaintreacherous 3yo Sahara Storm which was a brilliant winner at Gloucester Park last Friday night rating a slick 1:54.4 at its first start in Perth for in-form trainer Nathan Turvey.
