Australian Record with $270,000 for Captaintreacherous Colt – 2023 Melbourne Yearling Sale

A boost for the Harness Racing breeding industry today with a CAPTAINTREACHEROUS colt reaching an Australian Yearling Sale record of $270,000 this afternoon on day one of the 2023 Nutrien Equine Melbourne Yearling Sale.

Bred and prepared by Nixon Bloodstock, Lot 549 was late in the day but that didn’t deter purchasers Five Arrows from making sure they didn’t miss this colt.

Out of the impressive mare CARLA PIXEL, who herself was a 4 x Group one winner combined with his grand dam PIXEL PERFECT being a super producer meant that Shannon always thought highly of this colt and was rewarded today in the ring.
