He was already Australia’s Leading First Season Sire before today’s racing with 24 individual Australian bred 2yo winners and Alabar based Always B Miki added individual winner number 25 today with the win of Maxi Package at Pinjarra.
Always B Miki is also the sire of seven New Zealand bred 2yos this season to head the First Season Sires List in that country.
Trained by Pinjarra based trainer Nathan Turvey and driven by WA’s ace young driver Emily Suvaljko Maxi Package led throughout and rated 1:58.8 for the 2185 metres.
There are 16 yearlings by Always B Miki in the 2022 Nutrien Yearling Sale and seven of them are on account of Alabar Bloodstock.
Included in the Alabar draft of Always B Miki yearlings is Lot 222 which is the first foal from the Western Australian mare Red Hot Roxy p,1:55.9 $162,550 whose 13 wins included a Group One WA Sales Classic.
Red Hot Roxy is a daughter of Somebeachsomewhere and the cross of Always B Miki over a Somebeachsomewhere mare in North America has already produced the likes of Always A Miki p,2,1:50.4 $418,982, So Irresistible p,3,1:51.2 $185,740 and Mikala p,3,1:50.2 $168,032.
In fact of the 18 individual $100,000 earners in North America by Always B Miki to date no less than five are out of mares by Somebeachsomewhere – more than any other sire.
Always B Miki stands at Alabar’s Echuca property so when arranging to have a look at the 2022 draft of yearlings why not go and check out the sire himself.
