Captaintreacherous was Australia’s Leading Sire of 2yos (Prizemoney) last season with 62 starters which produced 36 winners of 84 races and $1,659,129 with average earnings per starter of $26,760.
His 3yo crop produced 52 starters for 38 winners of 130 races and 3yo stakes of $1,695,700 with average earnings of $33,249 per starter.
In terms of average earners per starter (10+ starters) Captaintreacherous was the standout sire of both 2yo and 3yo in this category.
There are eight yearling sales remaining to be held across Australia in the coming weeks and if you are a prospective purchaser of a yearling by Captaintreacherous you need to look no further than a Nutrien Sale.
There are 27 yearlings by Captaintreacherous available for purchase with 19 in the Nutrien Sydney Sale, five in the Nutrien Melbourne Sale and three in the Nutrien Sunshine Stars Sale on the Gold Coast.
There are no yearlings by Captaintreacherous in any other yearling sale scheduled to be held in Australia this season.
It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a colt or a filly by this remarkable stallion as he sires quality of both sexes as evidenced by his top earner Tough Tilly being a filly and Australia’s most exciting prospect after last week’s racing being the 4yo stallion Captain Ravishing.
Captain Ravishing destroyed his opposition in the $100,000 4yo Bonanza at Melton last Saturday to qualify for the $250,000 Group One Chariots of Fire at Menangle on February 18th.
Should he win the Chariots Of Fire not only will his profile life even further but it would’t be unreasonable for yearlings by Captaintreacherous to become even more sought after.
