The sub-2:00 win on debut of the American Ideal 3yo filly Ultimate Joy at Maryborough on Monday gave her dam Lombo Cloud Nine a perfect four from four with her current 2yo now named and in the stables of Russell Jack.

Lot 263 in the Nutrien Melbourne Yearling Sale on the weekend of 13th and 14th April, being offered by Lynette Eastman and Barry Lyons, is a half-brother to Ultimate Joy and three other winners including Lochinvar Jay which has won nine races and $104,003 and Cutty Sark with 11 wins and $74,885.

Lombo Cloud Nine won 14 races and $102,310 herself and she is a half-sister to Australian 2yo Pacer of the Year Lombo Skyrider which retired as the winner of 63 races and $841,611 and a record of 1:50.0.

The grand-dam of Lot 263 is Decethree Lombo who has produced 11 individual winners and her daughters are continuing to breed quality racehorses.

Flylika Bird Lombo is the dam of Group Two WA Diamond Classic winner Lady De La Renta which was sold to the USA and she has now won 33 races and $522,767 and has a record of 1:49.4.

Another daughter of Decethree Lombo in Lady Lara Lombo is the dam of Lord Lombo which has 24 wins and $286,504 to his credit while a grand-daughter of Lady Lara Lombo is the Group Two WA Champagne Classic winner Wesley which won 15 and $163,186.

Wesley is now a successful sire from his first crop with the 2024 2yo winner Iseeubaby p,2,1:58.3.
