The opening race at Albion Park on Monday was taken out by the Ohoka Punter 2yo filly Savage Storm which covered the 1660 metres at a 1:54.8 rate as she recorded her first win at her fourth race start for trainer/driver Trent Dawson.
Savage Storm is the second live foal from Tandy Franco and she is the second 2yo winner the daughter of Lis Mara has produced.

Consigned by Burwood Stud Lot 92 is a filly by the promising young stallion The Storm Inside whose first crop of 2yos raced in 2024 and the ten winners to date from that crop include Storms Collide which took his record of 1:56.3 in winning a heat of the Vicbred Super Series.
Storms Collide was also runner-up to The Highlight Reel in the $250,000 Nutrien Equine Classic and finished his first season of racing with stakes of $55,940.
