A promising start to the huge month of sales today with the 2023 Nutrien Equine Sydney Yearling Sale showcasing a beautiful draft to kick off the first of our four sales.
With lots still be sold over the next few days, we currently have an average of $36,550 with our top selling lot being Lot 183, 2021 colt out of RETURN TO ME NZ sold for $200,000 for Wagga Wagga breeders and first-time sellers with Nutrien, Scott and Kathy Robertson. The stunning colt was by CAPTAINTREACHEROUS (US) who also sired last night’s Miracle Mile winner CATCH A WAVE. He was purchased by Nutrien Bendigo on behalf of a Victorian client.
Top price Trotter was also a colt, Lot 161 2021 colt out of OUR DAINTY LADY NZ by WHAT THE HILL CA was sold for $75,000. This best-presented Trotter was prepared beautifully by Alana Toulmin on behalf of Louise and Gary Toulmin from Oakbank Estate, and sold to Allied Express Pacing and Trotting from Mulgoa, NSW.
Top price filly of the sale Lot 94 sold for $150,000 was the CAPTAIN CRUNCH USA filly out of KEPT IN PLAY, consigned by ELITE BLOODSTOCK and prepared by Benstud Standardbreds. She is heading to Victoria with purchaser Joel Watson, a returning supporter of the Nutrien Yearling Sales.
