Betting Line filly wins Gold Tiara consolation

Betting Line filly wins Gold Tiara consolation

The $50,000 Group Two consolation of the 2022 Bathurst Gold Tiara was won impressively by the Betting Line filly Windy Hill Tara which broke her maiden status with the win and she rated 1:58.0 for the 1730 metres.

She beat Studleigh Starlite and another Betting Line filly in Aurora Joy.

There are two Betting Line yearlings in the 2022 Nutrien Yearling Sale set down to be held in Melbourne next weekend.

First through the ring will be Lot 207A on behalf of Kevin J Hayes and it is a colt by Betting Line from the In The Pocket mare Onedins Pocketgirl p,1:56.0 who is already the dam of six winners including Inter Dominion Consolation winner Pocket Of Terror p,1:50.5 $285,555 and Bathurst Gold Crown placegetter Sams The Master p,1:52.4 $233,918.

Importantly Lot 207A (*pictured) is a full-brother to this season’s multiple 3yo winner Pocket Line p,3,1:59.9.

Betting Line took a record of 1:47.4 as a 3yo and retired to stud with stakes of $2,238,518 to his name and with his oldest Australasian progeny current 3yos he is already the sire of 40 individual winners.

The second Betting Line in next week’s sale is Lot 210 which is a filly out of Our Cavort and is therefore a half-sister to Australian 2yo Filly of the Year Encipher p,2,1:54.9 $278,358.
