
The nationally significant aspect of the 2023 Nutrien Yearling Sale catalogue was highlighted by the win of the 2yo American Ideal gelding Seventy Four Gee at Ballarat last night.
Cleverly driven by Brad Chisholm for trainer Alex Freeman, Seventy Four Gee ran past the $1.45 favourite Spicey Major in the straight-to-win running away rating a smart 1:56.6 for the 1710 metres.
Seventy Four Gee gave his dam Angelas Image her second winner from two foals of racing age and Goozdolphin Harness Racing will offer a half-sister to Seventy Four Gee as Lot 318 in the Queensland Sunshine Stars Sale which will be held on the weekend of 11th and 12th March 2023.

Lot 318 is by the first season sire Stay Hungry and is one of 11 lots being offered at the Sunshine Stars Sale by this son of Somebeachsomewhere.
Stay Hungry won 12 races in North America and stakes of $1,303,709 and was voted USTA 2yo Colt & Gelding Pacer of the Year.
His first American crop raced as 2yos in 2022 his 108 first crop foals have so far produced 86 starters for 60 winners of $2,521,730 including the filly Zanatta p,2,1:50.2 $390,361 and the gelding Annapolis Hanover p,2,1:50.8 $230,640.
These figures put Stay Hungry in fourth place on the USTA’s Leading Money Winning Sires of 2yos.
Angelas Image won 10 races and $74,017 and she is a half-sister to eight other winners including Fifth Edition p,1:53.9 $152,335, Jackson Street p,1:56.6 $150,126 and Angelas Dream p,3,1:57.2 $118,243.
