It came down to the wire as Robert Leach walked into the camp at number 38, riding Lowly Pastoral’s PEELVALE TRUCE. Coming into the final with a 178, Rob had a beautiful run scoring a 21, 64, and 4 for an 89 to take the lead by one point with a 267.

What an amazing result for local owners Richard & Georgia Chugg, purchased at the 2021 Nutrien Equine Sale for $16,000 from Murray & Jackie Wilkinson, they have well and truly been rewarded for their investment when they take home a $50,000 cheque that will be presented tomorrow night.

Equal second place went to Ben Hall riding SANDYTATE NAVITI STYLE, owned by Carrigan Bradley Syndicate scored a 88 to finish on 266.

Similarly, Will Durkin riding WIREGRASS BENTLEY owned by Nash Killalea scored an 89 to land on 266 as well.
