Stylish Maiden Win
When Vincent filly Vinette won the $30,000 Group Three NSW Breeders Challenge Eastern Region at Newcastle last night for trainer Kerryann Morris and driver Joshua Gallagher she not only shed her maiden status but she gave her dam Lettuce Go Pippa her first winner.
Vinette is the first foal from the Rocknroll Hanover mare Lettuce Go Pippa p,1:53.4 $95,314 who is also the dam of a 2023 2yo and her third foal, a full-brother to Vinette, is Lot 100 in the 2023 Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale.
Five of Vincent’s highest earning 2yos this season are from mares by Rocknroll Hanover or his three-quarter brother Red River Hanover.
Vincent is now the sire of 15 individual 2yo winners with his first crop including the smart New Zealand bred gelding Sherlock p,2,1:53.7 $71,570 which proved he was no shyster when he finished second in the Group One Ace Of Spades at Addington last Sunday.
This season’s Group Two New Zealand Sapling Stakes winner Vinke B is also a son of Vincent.
There are 11 yearlings by Vincent across the three Nutrien Sales in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and the online catalogues for the three sales are all able to be sorted by sire to make it easy to track down the Vincent yearlings.
